Rules of Participation ("Rules"):

"Accenture Hack Diva" (the "Contest") is organized, conducted and sponsored by Accenture Solutions Private Ltd. ("Organizer / Accenture") and is open for registrations and participation from January 24, 2024, to February 7, 2024, (both days inclusive).

Eligibility Criteria and Contest Construct

• This contest is open to only female students from All streams/branches of B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech, MCA and M.SC (Only CS and IT) who are graduating in 2024 with full time education.
• 1st/2nd/3rd-year engineering students are not eligible to apply and will be disqualified.
• The right to permit or restrict participation is at the sole discretion of the Organizer.
• You cannot participate in teams in this Contest. Participation level is individual only.
• You would need to register in order to participate in this Contest.
• No Accenture employee can participate in this contest.
• There will be three rounds of coding challenge, which will follow the initial registration period.
• Every round is an elimination, and the Organizer has the ownership to decide the eligible contestants based on the scores to move ahead to respective rounds. In the final round, the Organizer will award prizes to top 3 followed by 5 consolation prizes.

Dates and deadlines

Contest deadlines are subject to change, and additional deadlines may be introduced during the Contest time period. Any additional or altered deadlines not already described in these rules, will be updated on the Contest website for the participant’s information and the participant will be bound by such changes. The participant shall monitor the Contest website regularly to get information about new or updated deadlines.

Prizes

Organizer will announce top 3 winners of the contest at a pan-India level, who would receive prizes worth ~ INR 2,00,000 (distributed among 3 winners). Additionally next best 10 consolation winners will receive vouchers worth INR 5,000 each.

Any statutory taxes, duties or levies as may be applicable from time to time, arising out of or in respect with such prizes, shall be payable by the winners of the respective prizes.

Organizer shall not be liable for any loss, damage, theft, or any other mishap caused to the Prize after handing over the same to the winners of the Contest. The winner/s or his/her legal heirs shall have no other rights or claims whatsoever against Organizer.

In case the winners in any category of the Contest fails to claim the prize/incentives offered by Organizer as a result of this Contest within 30 days of announcement of the winners due to any reason whatsoever, the Organizer reserves the right to withdraw the prize or the incentive, post which the winner will have no right to claim or demand the prize or the incentive from the Organizer and no further communication will be entertained in the regard.

Incorrect Information

• Organizer has the right to substantiate/audit/verify the participants’ details/information as provided in the entry form or Organizer may seek any further document, as may be required to verify the participants’ details/ information. The participant must provide all supporting details requested by the Organizer to substantiate/audit/verify the information provided in the entry form. If such a request is made and the participant either fails or does not agree to provide the same, then the Organizer reserves the right to disqualify the participant from participation for the Contest.
• Determination of whether information is correct or not, rests with Organizer.
• If at any time, any information provided by any participant is found to be incorrect in any manner, then the participant will be disqualified for the participation for the Contest.
• If, after the conclusion of the Contest ceremony, any information provided by any participant is found to be incorrect in any manner, the participant will be liable to return the Contest and any monetary / non-monetary incentives provided as part of the Contest.

Information sharing

Participant may not share any information that is developed using the data and resources provided for the Contest, privately. This includes source code, presentations, documents etc. Sharing any such information privately is a breach of this Contest rules and will result in disqualification.

Reservation of rights

The Organizer reserves the right to modify the start date and end date of the Contest add or remove additional deadlines related to the Contest and such changes are communicated through the Contest website only, as afore mentioned. All material changes to timelines and/or Contest rules will be communicated by updating the Contest website and/or sending out an email notification. However, if participant do not receive an email notification for reasons outside our control (like incorrect email address, issues with ISP, email going to spam folder, etc.), the Organizer is not responsible for the same or any claims arising therefrom, and the participants agree to waive any such claim.

General

The participant grants the Organizers and it’s affiliates the right and permission to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, broadcast, display, publicly perform, exhibit and/or otherwise use or reuse (without limitation as to when or to the number of times used), the participant's name, image, voice, likeness, statements, (in each case, as submitted or as edited by the Organizer, in the Organizer's sole discretion), as well as any additional photographic images, video images, portraits, interviews or other materials relating to the participant and arising out of his/her participation in this Contest (with or without using the participant's name) (collectively, the " Materials") in any media throughout the world for advertising and publicity purposes without additional review, compensation, or approval.

If any manipulation (for example, any internet spamming or unsolicited e-mails, or any other conduct which Organizer believes is unfair or contrary to the spirit of the Contest) occurs or if the Organizer considers there has been any attempt to rig the selection procedure, Organizer reserves the right to disqualify entries if it has reasonable grounds to believe so and reserves the right to change, cancel or suspend this Contest at any time.

The Organizer shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage that any person or organization may suffer as a result of participating or attempting to participate in the Contest, the Contest being withdrawn, or its terms amended.

The Organizer cannot and shall not be accountable or liable for any technical or non – technical disruptions, stoppages, interruptions or cancellation of the Contest.

TThe Organizer and its contractors, assisting in organizing the contest, cannot be held responsible for matters out of its control and for force majeure reasons.

Decision of the Organizer on all matters, including but not limited to selection of winners, is final and binding on all participants and no correspondence will be entertained regarding the same.

The Organizer reserves the right to alter the rules of this Contest or terminate the Contest at its own discretion and without prior notice to the participant and without incurring any liability whatsoever.

By entering the Contest, the participant is indicating her agreement to be bound by these Terms and Conditions or Rules. Participant further agree that Organizer/ Accenture shall have all the rights including but not limited to use, publish, feature, modify and transfer internally or externally any of the submitted responses or details of the contest in any of Accenture publications, websites and/or in any promotional material without any additional permission.

The participant agrees to indemnify and hold the Organizer and their respective affiliates, directors, employees, agents and partners (Organizer’s Associates”) harmless from any and all direct and indirect claims, damages, expenses, costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) and liabilities (including settlements), brought or asserted by any third party against any of the Organizers' Associates in connection with participation in or winning the Contest.

Organizer will not be liable for any inaccuracy, error or omission contained in any such copy, reproduction or publication of the entry form, the idea/s or other materials submitted.

The Rules are to be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. All disputes relating to or arising out of the Contest shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction at Bangalore, India.

Data collection

At the time of registration or/and during the Contest, Organizer may collect participant details including personal information such as full Name, photo, email id, mobile number, DOB, Gender, educational details and location voluntarily shared by the participant. Participant’s personal information submitted at the time of entry form / registration for the Contest will be on gathered on Organizer’s global and secure systems and will be used for the purpose of this Contest and for communicating with the participants for recruitment purpose in the future. The personal information will be used in accordance with applicable data privacy law and Accenture's Data Privacy Policy and Recruitment & Hiring Statement. By providing the information asked herein Participant acknowledge and agree that Participants have read Accenture’s privacy policy and Recruitment & Hiring Statement and fully understand the rights to access, correct, make any inquiries in relation to the use of personal information. If you wish to exercise the right of withdrawal, please note that Accenture may not be able to contact you in the future.

Intellectual property rights

The participant or participating team hereby represents to Organizer that no part of the submissions made by the participant or team consists of any third-party asset (whether intellectual property right or trade secret) and that the same is free from any from encumbrances, restrictions and does not necessitate obtaining a license, consent or approval from any person or body corporate. The participant or the participating team acknowledge that the idea shall be owned by them, but the Organizer reserves the rights to conceive and develop any of the ideas submitted by them independently.

Winner’s obligations

As a winner, you are obligated to be in adherence of the published Contest rules, failing which, the Organizer reserves the right to disqualify your submission. The Organizer may also ask you to fix all the issues that are identified in your submission, including but not limited to, resolution of any licensing conflicts, fulfilment of all requirements for relevant software licenses and removal of anything that violates software restrictions, and such obligations shall survive the completion of the contest.

Warranties and obligations

• Participation in Contest is subject to local laws and regulations. You are solely responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that are applicable to you, before participating in the Contest. This allows you to verify that your participation and any receipt of awards is legal, according to the laws and regulations, applicable to you.
• Adhering to your college / employer’s policies of participating in Contests: The Contest Organizer denies the liability or responsibility of any Contest-related disputes that may occur between your college/employer and you. These disputes may lead to the termination of your account and disqualification of your submissions.
• Each participant is solely responsible for all the equipment, that is used during the Contest. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, the following::
  • Working computer and Internet connection required to access the Contest website, develop a prototype and upload submissions
  • Fees associated with services, such as, availability of telephones, data and resources, hosts
  • All costs incurred by you or on your behalf while participating in the Contest
• While adding a submission, you represent and warrant the following:
  • All the information entered by you on the platform is true and complete to the best of your knowledge.
  • You have the right and authority to add a submission for yourself or on the behalf of the persons and entities, that you have specified in the submission.

Limitation of liability

By participating in the Contest, each participant agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotions agencies, as applicable, and each of their respective agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders and employees from and against any injuries, losses, damages, claims, actions and any liability of any kind resulting from or arising out of your participation in or association with the Contest.

• You agree that the Organizer is not responsible for any miscommunication that may occur during the Contest because of the following reasons:
  • Technical failures related to computers, telephones and cables
  • Unavailability of network or server connections
  • Technical failures due to hardware issues, software issues or viruses
  • Incomplete, late or misdirected submissions
• The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, modify or suspend the Contest due to any of the following reasons:
  • Computer viruses
  • Bugs
  • Technical difficulties that are beyond the control of the Organizer
  • Technical difficulties that can affect the administration, security or execution of the Contest
• The winners of the Contest are determined from the submissions that are not affected by these difficulties, if any, in its sole discretion. The Organizer is not responsible for the following:
  • Late, lost, stolen, damaged, distorted, incomplete, incorrect or misdirected submissions and communication.
  • Errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects or delays in operations, or during transmission of the information, irrespective of whether these difficulties have occurred because of technical failures or malfunctions of computer hardware, software, communication devices or transmission lines.
  • Data corruption, theft, loss, destruction and alteration of submission details.
  • Unauthorized access to submissions.
  • Undelivered electronic communication or emails, because of any active or passive filters applied or insufficient space in the email account, to which the email was sent.
  • Any damage to a computer system during participation, while accessing or while downloading information.

Future communications from Accenture

By registering/participating in this Contest, participants agree to receive communications from Accenture for recruitment purposes as per Recruitment & Hiring Statement. Should participants wish to un-subscribe, they could do so when they receive any communications from Accenture in future.

Important notice about careers at Accenture

• It has been observed that certain agencies or individuals have been making job offers on behalf of Accenture, in exchange for money. Accenture has not authorized any agency, company or individual to either collect money or arrive on any monetary arrangement in exchange for a job at Accenture. Accenture’s criterion for hiring candidates is merit. Accenture reserves the right to initiate police complaints against any individual or entity that is found to be engaging in such an act.
